December 3, 2012 - September 1, 2013 Kinder

Open Enrollment TK and Kinder

We will begin accepting applications on February 1st.

The FINAL DAY to submit an application is Friday, February 16th.

  • A student interest application is due to the RLA Office during any of these days. If the number of students who wish to attend exceeds the capacity, enrollment will be determined by a public random lottery. You also want to be sure to enroll at your neighborhood school as enrollment into RLA is not guaranteed by your application alone.
  • Lottery--Friday, March 9th at the RLA Campus-- The lottery is open to the public and determines placement in a classroom and the official waitlist is established as well. If you cannot attend you may contact the office after 3pm to inquire about your child's status. 869-8093
  • Begin gathering your child's documents and secure appointments if necessary. We will collect the following documents from those students selected for enrollment at the lottery.

1-Birth Certificate

2-Up to Date Immunizations

3-Proof of Dental Exam

4-Proof of the Most Recent Physical Examination

5-Special Education documents, if applicable (copies of IEP's or 504plans)

  • Selected families are required to complete the required application/registration materials and attend required orientation meetings prior to the student being placed in a class at RLA. Due to the nature of Dual Immersion it is important that all families understand the importance of committing long term (Kinder through 8th grade) when enrolling at Riverbank Language Academy.

The parade will begin at 8:35 and will end at about 9:00 AM

Students will need to arrive at school in costume. Students need to wear their costumes over their regular day clothes as costumes will need to be removed at the end of the parade.

To help you select an appropriate costume for school, below is a list of guidelines you and your child are asked to follow.
Guidelines--Students that wish to participate in the costume parade must:
• Dress in costumes at home BEFORE coming to school.
• Bring a bag to school to keep costumes in after the parade.
• No students shall be allowed to call home to get costumes before the parade.
• Costumes should not be of a violent, gory, or messy nature. This includes fake blood, colored hairspray, facial make-up, or other potentially messy items.
• Costume props such as guns, spears, and swords are not allowed. Costumes that depict any type of violent acts or grotesque images are not allowed.
• If masks are worn, they should provide adequate vision for the wearer to walk safely.
• Students are not required to join the costume parade; if you prefer that your child not participate there will be a place to stay during that time.
